Li Dain Wu, of Quincy, was struck around 11:15 a.m. near 478 Southern Artery in the Roxie parking lot. Paramedics arrived and rushed him to South Shore Hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead, Quincy police said.
The driver who hit him remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Quincy police said.
It's unclear what led up to the crash or what caused it, but it remains under investigation.
The Norfolk District Attorney's Office said no charges had been filed in the fatal crash Monday morning, according to MassLive.
